Looks way too much like a pop can with a bendy straw stuck on the side. It's cool, but too recognizable. The rust even kind of looks like Coke's leaking out the top?
The painting isn't too bad at all, but you should definitely disguise the fact that its am upside down popcan. Perhaps add some rivets, a couple of techinical looking bits, and perhaps an aquila. Anything to liven it up a bit.
