I think parts of this mini are very good. For instance the face and gems/lens are fine. The base is also impressive. You should be pleased with the result. Perhaps brighter highlighting on the armour would have really livened this figure up?
I was trying to go for a dull paint job very light highlighting and the cloak was to see how using just scab red and blood red would work. Not great as it turns out but you live and learn :).
it looks like you got you got some good skill there. its just that the mini really lacks the variety of color and the right ones. the blue armour just seems really bland
i got it! hehe. bout the armor, highlights would do very well for it.for the bolter, try to brighten it up with some mithril silver. and there are some small spots which could use some color. like the studs on the shoulder pad, the right fore arm.
but jus on personal prefernce, those green seals dunt really suit me. i woulda stuck to the regular red, and speaking of red, i think you could do a bit better on the cape.
