I think it is OK to try and copy someone else's work, especially if you can pull it off, (I know I learned a lot that way). I like it very much.

Nice job, but I think it's ok to paint it differently from the codex model. After all, do all the clothes in YOUR closet look the same?

I figure that every character would have at least one change of clothes so it is OK to paint them differently. Nice work on this model though.
