Thank you for your honest advice, as you mentioned the headstone was purely to make the base less boring but like you said I can see that it is destracting from the rest of the model. I have only recently started to make an effort on the bases of my models and as you can see i have some way to go, thanks again for the vote & comments.
The mini is gorgeous, more like a 7.5 to me. But the headstone is distracting and out of place in the scene. If the concept was to make a statement about the alleged "glory" of going off to war, then I would have made the knight still dignified and dressed in finery, but not so cartoon clean. If there was no deep message attempting to be sent and headstone was just a piece of bitz to add to the base to make it interesting. ...it instead distracts the viewer from the beautiful work you did not the knight. ..just my thoughts as a patron (obviously I'm not a skilled mini artist myself.)
