I really wanted to do a lava base and with the added flames I couldnt help but try to do source lighting from both areas.....hmmmm well I like it but Im not sure how realistic it is....
I think this is a bit overdone, but it's certainly a unique style and you get credit for even trying such an ambitious scheme! I think some areas need to be more lit, such as his legs - the large flat surfaces specifically. Basically, anything facing the lava at all should be brighter.
I like it. It's different from the standard "have to have a mini painted like this" style. Frankly, that's probably why you have a low average score. I look at it though, and I see a cool model that has a feeling. Great Job, keep it up.
