hey this is one of the first models ive painted im just wondering if its any good. i used bits from the masters of the chapter and space marine commander sets to come up with this simple conversion. any tips or criticism?

This is definitely not bad for being one of the first minis you've done. You seem to be neat with applying your paint and the paint doesn't look overly thick. Keep at it and read as many painting articles you can to get as many ideas as possible about how to take your technique further. Then it's just a matter of practice, practice, practice!

Not bad at all for a first mini. I think your highlighting is a bit crude, you really should try to use at least one more colour and also the ever-so-important drilling of the barrel.
