Slaaneshi-esque Daemon prince
Another entry for the Oz GD '07'. This was my attempt to do something inspired from GW artwork, in particular the illustration in the last edition of the Chaos Codex showing a picture of a Slaaneshi champion. The way the artist had done the face so that the huge sonis-type weapon had replaced the mouth of the champion, not to mention all the little gribbly finger-like' talons grappling the bottom of the chin area was just creepy. I used one of the plastic ogre heads and gouged the eyes out, as well as the entire mouth area and resculpted the areas with green stuff. I then used guitar and florists wire to put cabling in and around the chest. The left shoulder pad had a face sculpted onto it and I used the greater demon of Slaanesh's arm and sword. The scorpion tail was a re-mix of the tomb scorpion's tail and claw, whilst the codpiece was an old raptor helmet. I tried to emulate some 'giger-esque' freehand for the base as well as in the black areas of the armour, unfortunately I was 'out-gigered' :) by another entrant o the day with some stunning freehand, making mine pale in comparison (Well done Luke!). I really enjoyed painted and converting this mini and would like to do a series of four - one for each of the chaos gods! Thanks for voting :)
