@THENAMELESS: 'really offensive to us intelligence' that statement would be SO much more... worth reading if you hadn't have made that error, especially in such a context. Anyway, back to the model, the paint job is WAY too blotchy, I would recommend you use enough paint on your brush to make it seem as though the bristles are naturally that colour rather than a big ol' dollop, if the paint on your brush looks blobby, you have too much, also, I'm not sure if this is what you did but, I would suggest you paint the parts BEFORE you glue them together so you don't have to fiddle with hard to reach places. Carry on mate.

i think the main problem, and this got me when I started too, is thinning down the paint. If you dont then you lose a lot of detail. Patience is the key, lots of thin coats make a much better finish than one thick one, and the most important layer of all is the undercoat! Use black citadel spray paint and you'll be amazed how much of the shading gets done for you, and I definitely agree with the other posters (except d00m8r1ng3r of course) that some free tuition would help. Everyone started somewhere!

Don't get me wrong, I'm all for constructive advice, and I havn't been painting for to long, but seriously, I wouldn't post this, even if I was proud of it. I think a 3 is fair, considering it doesn't look highlighted, the skin looks glossy, it looks messed up.
