Wraith Lord-better pics
I took this in the daylight, I think it gives a better perspective on the hellish light emanating from the hood-Diablo style. This is a new one from Reaper "Warlord" line- The Wraith Lord (not to be confused with GW). I did this for a friend, still taking a short break from GW. I tried to paint the lighting effect of hellish red light spilling out from inside it's hood,it's animating force if you will. There are a lot of "firsts" for me in this figure,almost the entire thing was an experiment in color and techniques.Unfortunately A LOT of subtle highlights got washed out, I'll try again in the daylight. Let's see: first time I've used a color wheel, did tinted highlights (by adding fleshtone), mixed all my highlights,used Kolinsky sable, used clear primer(thank you DNA GRIM), used lighting effects (thanks for the excellent article Victoria),used vallejo woodgrain,smoke on metal, and a lot more true wet-blending. Anyhow I am looking for feedback for this experiment, so ALL feedback is very welcome. Special thanks to the whole mini-painter group. You guys rock!
