Narthalyssk, Dragon

This is the third of the Reaper dragons that I had painted. I spent a little longer with the base on this guy - supposed to be a wrecked open air temple. I made the pillars out of sculpey and used a liberal amount of cinders. I've also got some smashed slate "flooring". The dragon itself it the least favorite of mine - red is so bloody hard to highlight, as is the dark contast. It is a navy/black mix, but it comes out almost pure black on camera.

I think you did a good job on the chest and the red scales but the black skin between the wings and spines lets you down. Maybe a little lighter and some shading, looks like there is a texture there maybe you could play it up more? -F-

Bonne continuation :)
