Malbeth the Seer

My entry to the LOTR single UK 07. Tried a stronger and more dramatic overhead lighting in this one and I'm very happy with the result. Sculptwise I made the staff longer and added fur, as well as resculpting some details (left hand, top of staff etc.). I got loads of nice comments of people seeing it, cheers for that! :) My camera managed to cough out a really nice close-up, I'm pleased with that too..! :D Just want to congratulate all the winners and entrants that outdid themselves and say a big thank you to everyone that helped me during the paintingprocess. Hope I'll get the chance to meet you all soon again. Sven

Well I dont want to be a sheep and follow the rest of the flock but the base does let the rest down. For me its to much of a big slab. Also it just looks like plasticard. I think you could of an arched doorway or similar into it. To break the line and add some depth to the scene. Maybe even raising the bottom steps up and adding more would help. Maybe I am completely wrong? The painting is absolutely top notch though so do not think I am being negative.
