Hogarth Stonefist (AKA Gungor, Half-Orc Monk)
My first completed miniature in over two years! This is Gungor the Half-Orc Monk from Reaper, modified slightly to become an earth-based race in my brother's D&D campaign. I blended the model's tusks into his mouth and de-emphasized his pointed ears. For the most part, I moved away from basic techniques on this model. I used specific highlighting and attempted a bit of blending, instead of relying on dry brushing. I also painted with magnification for the first time, manually picking out tiny details such as the rope bindings. Still having trouble getting a decent photo. The flash on these really kicked up the shine. He does need another coat of matte varnish but looks good as is to the naked eye.
