Spoils of War (fantasy gdla entry)

Its a high elf, or was supposed to be. Yes, its a full sculpt, i tried for the same proportions as GW high elf concept art. Unfortunatly the paint didnt come out the way i would have liked. But the sculpt was a good learning experience, and its a tight little mini in the long run. Anyways, the judges at GDLA gave it first cut but thats it. It could be because its a full sculpt and they kinda dislike that.... i dunno. Let me know what ya think.

Let me just say I have a big problem with the random judging in the golden demon .. To point out Chris borer did a full sculpt awhile back with his stunning "primarch fulcrum model" wich claimed an overall prize and slayersword trophy! This is just as good on a fantasy level-- so Indont know why large models scratch built with sculpt win all the time in the uk and they snubbed this! Gets me upset really--KEEP IT CONSISTENT PEOPLE(judges) I have a couple of demons (1gold,1bronze) on two countries so it's not a grudge just something I'm seeing that's so blatant!! Keep it's up , your style is fantastic-talk about the grim wortorn look of warhammer fantasy. Blanche would rate this a gold!
