A very good friend of mine, who is an enthusiastic downhill mountainbiker, often smiles at my hobby. Inspired by http://www.themcdevittstudio.com I had the idea to make him smile at his hobby using mine. And his birthday was a good occasion for that plan. I searched the internet for a small bike that fits, bought it in a toyshop, dug out some photos of him and started tinkering my first wire-armature. Some photos on the internet helped me to find a cool position for him hanging in the air. Sulpting his body I passed on protection-accessory, especially the helmet, I wanted his face to stay visible. I wanted something inconvenient for the base, so I decided to make it out of concrete, what let me proudly cross out that activity on my list of things a man must have done in his life. For the color on the base I mixed an amount of color-particles into the concrete. It took me about 80 hours to finish the project. To my disappointment there was not enough time to bring the quaility of the paintjob to a level I´m satisfied with. All in all I´m very happy with the result, but feel sorry I didn´t have a camera by the hand when he was unpacking his present starring at his small twin-brother. :-)

I love it... I would have given a 10 but choosing to not leave the kickstand on kills it for me.. it makes the bike look static and like it doesn't belong with the rider.
