Pistoliers

Part of my Empire army painted up for the Warhammer schools league tournament, and doubles tournament, this was one of the better units of the army that won me Best Painted Fantasy Army award in the schools league. The rest of the army is in my gallery. The conversion work was done slowly and leisurely, repositioning the horses legs, and sorting out the wall, but the painting was done quickly but still took around 3 and a half hours, a whole evening of painting, during a week that I painted non stop. (Got up at around 4:00 each morning, painted, had breakfast, painted, went to school, painted, came home from school, painted, had supper, painted, then went to bed and did this every day for a week)

Very underrated unit. Great idea about the conversion, they look really scary, a wouldn't make a charge reaction other than flee agains them. This also show the idea of fast cavalry not stopped by any obstacles. Keep up the good work:)

Really great conversion work but... just a 6 for the painting

I like the clever segmentation of the base, this is a really imaginative conversion! The paint job definitely needs work, but it's still a very high tabletop standard and impressive for the time spent on it.
