Great piece and brilliant paintjob.
I think what was seen as alteration is actually just a depth-of-field issue: the dof is short so the torso is perfectly in focus but the wings, particularly in the back, are not. This is noticable if you look closely at the base.
That looks fantastic! I can imagine seeing it hovering in a black cave just glowing loke that. Eerie very eerie but fascinating at the same time. Great job.
I've seen this figure on the last french show: "Salon de la miniature" (on the official Fenryll shopwindows !). It's not cheat but I think the color scheme is a little too strange for me !
