Or phase cat rather... (Damn you copyright infringement...) I stained it initially with purple and blue ink then painted highlights and knocked them back until I felt it looked right. The one tentacle is indeed "hurt"... because the tentacle broke off while manipulating it I simply repaired it and made it look hurt with paint... I think it came out okay and far more realistic for a nasty creature...
