Alderan - Crâne Warrior

Things I am proud of: 1: The face looks so rotten, that the jaw and nose bone is protruding. 2: The metal turned out very well, but I will never learn to take pictures of real metal colours. The metal looks dull and dark in real life. Not overly rusty, but not new either. 3: The lava sword rocks ;) I am very proud of this, because it’s a first and I did it without guides or anything. It just turned out exactly how I wanted it. 4: I think the base suits him. I had Vlad the Impaler in mind when I got the inspiration. I didn’t want to place an impaled body as it would draw too much attention away from the Alderan. However you get the picture with the dirty and bloody wooden spears draped in chains. The base is made from an Asgaard Games base with some extra slates, the poles (made from sprues) and chains added. All in all, this figure is one of my favourite projects. The base and mini complements each other well. The paint job also looks very dark, but clear and real in real life. I don’t think the pictures do him right, especially the metal looks a bit random, which is sad, since I used a lot of time shading and highlighting it. (I chose not to vote, therefore the rating of 6 as base) Comments are always welcome.

Love this guy!! Great colour choices, I like that grey/green skin together with the Orange/brown it looks fantastic. The sword turned out amazing and also all the bones look pretty good. Definitly one of my favorite minis painted by you.
