Bay Unicorn

Ok, so I got really tired of white unicorns! And I also bent the horn for a little variety. I painted this guy somewhere around 10 years ago. (The base is stamped 1990 TSR!) Since it was during my on again off again painting stage, I used some craft paints that my mother had for her folk art woodpainting. Liquitex and Delta Ceramcoat were the brands, I don't remember the colors. The horn is an ivory color mixed with a pearlescent paint. The hooves are black mixed with the same pearlescent paint, and I used the mixture to highlight the mane and tail. The eyes are brown mixed with a little gold. For the dark points on the legs, I mixed the colors on the miniature as I went. Again, I painted this unicorn as a bay just to be different. My reasoning was that since horses come in all colors, why not unicorns. And even after all these years, I'm still pleased with how it came out. Comments???
