King Angus Stormhand

I painted this guy a couple of years ago, when I started getting serious about painting. At that time I was pretty concerned with getting details painted, but hadn't started using inks and washes. I also wasn't too concerned about decorating bases, preferring to let the paint job speak for itself. Angus is a nice mini, but his left arm is at an angle where it parallels his belt. So, the area between arm and belt was one solid piece of flash. I managed to make mincemeat out of his leg in an attempt to clean the flash out, and my attempt at patching him up wasn't very good. So I turned the damage into a scar, and added other scars to his side, arms, and back. At this time, I was using Armory Matte Sealer, and it had a tendency to go glossy on me. I think his base is due for some work, and he's due for a good coat of Dull Cote! As always, comments and advice would be greatly appreciated.

great job! but with most of your figs you need to highlight more. try brushing on your flesh, then put on a thin,or waterd down coat of flesh wash. after that apply the first flesh color again after you lighten it with some white paint. apply this color by dry brushing it on slowly building to the disired tone. see ya.
