Custom Bilevel V8 War Buggy

I went out on a limb with this one. First I dropped a fully blown V8 in the back added wide tires in back narrow tires in front for dragster effect. The driver has a gear shift in one hand. Put a Boss Nob behind the driver to command the Squad. Added the Pole for the Banner and needed a place for the gunner so added second level. Bosses always have trophies so I added a chain of them across the front. Then I read about how the speed freaks have a save for dust and smoke from their rides so I tried to add some effects. I don't know how successful you think it is but let me know.

I like the effort you put into converting this figure, and the groundwork. My main reason for not giving this a higher rating (but let me clairfy that six, to me, is a good rating--it's an above-average tabletop piece) is for things like, well, the base. It's nicely landscaped on the top, but the sides seem a bit rough and unfinished. I love the idea of painting flames, but they look too crude--even for an ork wagon! Also, your photos are of a decidedly poor quality. This is *my* rationale for my voting--since you asked for it. *grin*

I'm no painting god, but you asked, so here's my two cents. Ditch the pink smoke, the grey works the pink doesn't. Tighten up all your detail work: flames, spikes, etc. Hold your breath, get the 4/0 brush out and sharpen all your lines. This has nothing to do with painting, but try to get some clearer pictures. Lastly, have the motor blueprinted, bored and stroked to 456 cu., Add twin Holley carbs and flowmaster exhaust for better airflow, and I bet orcs would really love a NOS system ;) But seriously, this is a sweet mini that's only gonna get better the more time you put into it. I'd sure hate to see it coming at me across the battlefield...

I seem to be getting low scores. How about some feed back on what does. or doesn't work?
