Winter beastman

This is the result of a little fun project that some friends and I have been working on. We each decided to convert and paint a plastic GW beastman, to try to practice some unusual or interesting flesh colours. We also wanted to practice linking bases with the minis in order to create a stronger atmosphere or 'environment'. This is mine: I wanted to try to make a cold, Winter scene for my beastman, so I tried to use mainly cold colours in the painting. THe extreme highlights, on the flesh especially, were painted with a light, pale blue, to further try to reflect the cold environment and the create a strange sort of lighting.

Absolutely super - so natural looking - the torso and the lighting, with the pale blue, is magnificent. Where are those shoulder plates from?

Wow, when beastmen are done well they really kick ass. There's something about the facial expression coupled with the palette and base you've chosen that really emphasize a kind of existential melancholy towards combat.
