Rune Priest

This was an experiment in several regards. The sculpting was meant to give the illusion of the wind ripping around him as he summons a storm. The night sky on the banner was a first for me, as was the bird in flight. All in all, I think the desired effects came off well.

Hmmm...I suppose I could have hidden the wire supporting the bird in the banner instead of the wolf tail. As it is I felt like I was pushing the limits of believability with the size of the tail. The other way I also could have placed the bird on the front side of the model, which would have required less weight in the base to maintain balance. Live and learn. Thanks for the suggestion.

I really like the great use of a small base and the way you set up a visual flow. I think if the bird was just a little to the right it would follow the line set up with the flag and the left leg and really get the "Carving the Wind" look.
