Ogre Slayers
Only they don't slay ogres, they are ogres! The plastic ogre models really have some great conversion possibilities, and after stewing on it for about as long as the plastics have been out, I think ive finally come up with an idea that I can build an entire army of. The thought is a band of ogres came across a handful of dwarf slayers, and after cutting them up and snacking on their bones, they decided they rather liked the slayer philosophy. So they slicked up their hair, died it orange, traded their clubs for axes, and went off to find the largest beasties of the old world. Originally I was planning to do some crazy rhinox rider conversions. I was thinking I could have my slayers in dramatic battles with giant monsters on chariot bases, with a generally forward moving momentum. Imagine a dragon in an epic fight with a particularly tough ogre. The ogres axe planted in the dragons back, as he holds on for his life, they flail across the ground through just about anything that gets in their way. Incidentally the offending thing takes D3 impact hits and 4 st 6 hits. :) But recently gw announced it would not allow rhinox riders in gts, so my motivation has ben cut down some what, but i may give it a try anyway.
