This was one of my favouite minis done by GW for there lotr range. The picture is poor as usual im afraid, it took about a day to paint

Indeed, the whole thing is a bit too dark, I would suggest sharp contrasting highlights on Gimli especially the beard which looks quite flat. And the Pipe looks like it's simply not completed, adding some fire red in the bucket would make it look more dynamic too.
"Desperate for feeback" ;) : I think the way you've used very dark and unsaturated colours on all of Gimli makes him harder to make out. Slightly brigher clothes and redder pants would help I think. His hair and face could probably benefit from stronger highlights. Also, I bet the axe-in-head effect would be a little more convincing with some blood coming out. Hope I've been helpful!
