Ork Warboss

Right, like the rest of my minis Ive put up, this one showcases another 'first attempt' for me. For years I simply painted orks with goblin green skin and always found that acceptable for my tastes. Earlier this year however I had some commision work done by a painter named Adam Smith and loved the speed freeks he did for me so much that I just had to at least try and paint an ork reasonably well. This was an old model that I stripped down (banner was already broken) and chose mainly because the quality of the sculpt really helps someone at my low level of painting. Ive since improved my painting of ork skin (more natural, less yellow) and found a way I like which is quick. Im still however stuck when it comes to metalwork. If anyone has good ideas on how to paintrusty/dirty metalwork for the likes of orks then I'd really appreciate the advice. Thanks, Don

Please bear in mind that this one has been varnished when voting. Unfortunately the flash doesnt show the skin well and this was the best picture I ended up with out of about 20 shots! Scoty
