Got bored painting tau, so decided to take a break and do somethinf different. My first CMON mini! Although the miniature is a high elf, I'll probably end up using her as a necromancer in a Vampire Counts army (hence the dark cloak). I was going for sort of a Snow Queen look here, and it was my first try painting gems the way GW suggest. The larger ones came out ok, but it's awkward to get the effect on the smaller ones.

Picture is indeed awful. Told a friend who was looking over this mini today that it wasn't even rated fit for tabletop on here, and he just blinked at me. }:> Right. Need to work on photography skills, and sort that orb out. To be honest, there is highlighting and shading on both the cloak and the dress, but it's so blanded out in the photo, it's untrue. Will work on it, and thanks for the feedback.

Picture is awful, but mini looks pretty nice painted... You should do highlight on cloak and a little of shadowing on her dress... A ball at the end of her staff is little unrealistic, because it is darker above, and lighter down... Colours look reversed...
