warhammer lizardmen stegadon wip

this is my first ever lizardman figure, a big piece to learn from. what i can say about this piece is that its so badly casted that it was clearly out by 2mm, and the fig was lopsided, nothing fitted lush at all, the amount of work needed to get it to look even and hide the massive 3mm gap under its top shell on oneside was horrendous, i nearly took it back. anyone else had badly casted figs by gw?

i do use greenstuff i the gaps, and its not my assembly of the miniature to blame. ive had plenty of giants and big creatures that have been casted nice with not a lot of greenstuff needed but this stegadon was way way out. P.S. i dont think i make mistakes after 19 years of modelling

You're supposed to green stuff the gaps. It's not GW's castings, it's your assemblage of the model. You shouldn't blame Games Workshop for your own mistakes.

i see i,m not the only one who doesnt like gw,s casting, anyway this is work in progress, the base is usually the last bit i do on my figs. when its completed i,ll put up a pic
