Imperial Guard; Charge!

Hi all, These are two cadians(the first of many) that I've recently painted up for a diorama that I'm working on. As you might guess one's charging and the other is ordering his men foreward to achieve great feats of glory in the name of the emperor. I'll post the rest as they come off the production line. I'm also planning to add some blood splatter and dirt to a few of them but haven't been able to find a technique that fits in with my style. I'm thinking something akin to the splatter on Bobby Wong's Maximas, so any advice on achieving this will be welcome. As always, comments welcome. Cheers.

As everything is a matter of perspective they would more possibly shout: "Fall back!". Hey, it's IG. Nice work on the armour-plating. The brown clothing could use some more highligts or maybe it's only the picture.

HorusHorror-Thanks for the comment, very flattering! The armour is really very simple. I gave it all an undercoat of bleached bone first then the recesses were shaded with a watered down 50/50 mix of chaos black and scorched brown. Then I just used bleached bone painted in lots and lots of very thin layers which I added more white to untill I got the colour I wanted. This resulted in a very smooth even colour which I highlighted only slightly towards the end using a 80/20 white/bone mix. Hope this helps.
