This summer I took a few months off from painting. When I started up again, I wanted to do something that would force me to concentrate mostly on technique without having to worry about color schemes. So I picked this figure with the intention of trying to get it to look like the version that was done by the Rackham artists. In the end, I changed a few things about the color scheme, but for the most part it is pretty close. I decided to forgo the freehand on the offhand sword.
