Ork Waaagh! Banner Nob - Gold at UK Youngbloods 2006

I entered this mini and it got gold in the Youngbloods UK 2006. I was absolutely ecstatic about it! About the model: The ork is made from the Ork Waaagh! Banner Nob from the Nobs boxed set. The banner itself is made from half a large 40k tyre, plasticard, green stuff metal rim and detail (behind the banner), Warhammer Fantasy Black Orc Banner Top, and the snotling from the Ork Wartrakk Scorcher with his spanner replaced with a spiky club from the snotling in the old Night Goblin Boxed Set. The extension of the pole was made from plastic rod. I really enjoyed painting and modelling this piece as it took me a long time to finish, but in the end I now have a model I can be proud of! Now I have joined CMON hopefully I can improve and become even better. Thanks to Bill for introducing me to this great site! Cheers, Tom

This is a great piece, both well converted and well painted. Well deserving of a youngbloods Gold, so well earned.

you definately got the award you deserve, great job! Very nice skintone, and it's also great to see the flame painted correctly! (One of my nit-picky areas).
