First Dark Eldar warrior

Going to be starting a DE army, this is my first try (in a long time anyway) at one of these guys. I am not sure I like the base, the brown is a bit dull, though I do like the snow. Also the gun seems a bit bright. Thoughts?

Okies, Since no one else appears to be giving you some pointers or suggestions, here are mine. I can see where you did do highlighting, however, you need to perk it up more, brighter highlights, more extreme edging, and some more shading in the recesses. IE-More contrast between shade, base color, and highlights. Here is a good rule of thumb that I picked up on this site, "When you think your done highlighting, go two shades brighter, it may seem extreme but it really gives it the edge" Otherwise, your color scheme is good, I would go for a darker red overall, but thats just my opinion. As for the base, you want to try to keep any flock or decoration from going over the edges, like the snow that is trickling down on the sides. Dont texture the sides of it, just paint the edge in a solid color. I think you did pretty good with the purple areas (or blue, im partially color blind between certain shades so forgive me). Give it a lil more pep with some extreme edging and pinpoint highlights and it would be reaching the level that you want all the other areas to be at. And of course, looking at other peoples paintjobs will help you improve in the areas you want too alot. I hope some of this helps, keep up the good work!
