Dragon Prince Horse #2

Here's version two of the horse scheme. The client wasn't keen on the shaded white so our next decision was a bright, lighter color but with a bit more obvious shading. I settled on bright yellow as it contrasts with the purple and fits heraldry-wise. The original trim color can be seen here: http://www.coolminiornot.com/135244 The figure has been sprayed with DullCote in comparison to the previous pic, and I think it shows off the true colors and the stippled effect on the horse's skin to much better effect now. Comments, criticisms, and suggestions welcome!

The way you managed such a realistic look to the horses skin is amazing. The metallic areas are spot on what with the smooth, subtle transition of tones. Some of the most realistic metal-work I've seen actually. The yellow and purple are a smidge too vibrant for my tastes and the base is a little bland which is the only reason I wouldn't give it a 9. Oh and the gemwork deserves some mention as well. Ace job!

I like the "stippled" effect on the horse. Could you send me a msg explaining how you did that? Thanx!
