Lord Castor of Kislev - SILVER at GD UK Youngbloods 06

First up, I would like to dedicate this mini to four people: Torstein (BanJo), Albert (Albert Moretó Font), Fernando (nano), and Alfonso (Banshee). :) A few notes on the mini: a) the halberd replaced a sword, and it has broken 23 times :D b) the beavers on the base are sculpted c) the leaves are from scalelink.co.uk. I entered GD this year with moderate hopes, but when I saw him in the winning shelf I was ecstatic! :D I simply couldn't have done it without the help of, apart from the above people, coolminiornot.com as a whole. So, thanks to all you inspiring painters :D I would also like to thank a few people in particular for their help, advice, support etc :D So: everyone at Spanish Team forums; Rob (Orb); Rob (demonherald); Krom1415; Mutantpotato; Ainulainour; DrEvilmonki; Doug Jones; Reverend; mistamick; War Griffon; My cousin Dan; Tahn; Dragonsreach; Supervike; Pestilent Trinity. Also thanks to all the other great CMoNers I met at Games Day, there were so many of you I can't write down all the names, so I'm sorry if I left you out! :) Oh, and also I thank Luck, definitely an important factor ;) Finally, congratulations to all the other GD winners, especially to Albert for his SWORD (you're a master :D), I hope you all enjoyed GD as much as I did :) I hope you like Lord Castor, I would love some comments :) ~Bill

Thought I commented on this before.... hmmm. Anyway... Great work (and i still can't believe you are this young. Sure you aren't lying about it ;) If you aren't lying it's a grat paintjob... if you are still ;) In all seriousness. very good paintjob. The freehand looks great and I love the colour combinations. Nothing to nitpick about. Keep it up and head for the sword someday :) Pretty sure you have it in you.
