Miniature Exchange #9 - Simvan & Ostrasaur

This is an interesting set of minis sent to me by Jahecker. They are from a game called RIFTS which I knew nothing about until I got these. The minis were produced in 1993. There were several firsts for me with these. They was a fair amount of assembly involved, and I had to use Green Stuff to fill in some gaps. Also, this is the first SF genre mini I have ever painted. Also my first attempt at foliage on the base. I hope you like them! Comments welcomed.

Nice mini and painting, I especially like the flesh on the beast and the base, looks very dessert. What is the rider supposed to be though? The way you've done a dessert base and the general appearance of the rider makes me think he is some sort of camel mutant, so possibly a less reptilian skin would be more in character (but probably less attractive).
