Hulk X90 - Robo Rally

This is Hulk X90 from the board game Robo Rally by Wizards of the Coast. I bought the game in 1996 and kept thinking to myself, “These little guys would be fun to paint” but never got around to it. Well 10 years later I finally got started on them. Since they’re just board game pieces the casting quality isn’t very good (lots of pits and really bad mold lines) but they were indeed fun to paint. Most of the robots are between 20mm and 25mm tall. I decided to go with a simple color scheme using just one main color plus black/gray for each robot so they would look nice on the board all together. For the bases I went with similar colors used on the game boards that along with the black/gray ties all the robots together.

These are really cool. For simple sculpts you really make them "come alive". I particularly like the yellow edging on this one.
