Crimson Fist Space Marine (Flamer)

This marine is the first of a small custom squad and was done as test for the weathering and glowing eyes effects. It was also my first use of a pre-made base. Comments as usual are appreciated.

Regular Crimson Fists marines have 1 red hand. Their Veteran units have 2 red hands. I hope that clears it up.

One of the best (if not the best) Crimson fists marine I've seen on this site. I've been thinking of painting up a few and this really inspired me. Love the gritty look and the blue. Much better than the typical vibrant blue you'd see used.

Just a quick comment about the fist colour. I've seen artwork where they have either one or both coloured and the Wikipedia entry states - "When an initiate joins the ranks of the Chapter his left glove is painted red, symbolic of Rogal Dorn's tradition of cutting the palms of new recruits and sharing his blood with them directly, creating a bond between them. When the Marine becomes a part of the Crusade Company, his right glove is also painted red." As a result I've always tended to paint both red, but I'm warming to the idea of doing a couple of other marines with just the one done red. Thanks for all the comments.
