War Crow Cat Man on sculpted base
This was a very large, VERY heavy mini! It was certainly a challenge to paint with all the extra weight, but I must say that it is a very solid mini, and could stand up to many gaming sessions :-) He is standing on yet another sculpey base. I could not resist the temptation to do something different with yet another cat-man figure. I had already painted 3 other cat man type minis that week, so I saved the most interesting color scheme for this one! I thought the white and black of the fur would set off the more colorful copper armor with its patina, as opposed to the other way around, where the orange and browns of the fur contrast against the steel armor. I also wanted to try out some freehand stuff on areas that were very wide and blank, such as the blade and the pole. There were some tough painting angles, but I am still glad that I attempted it!
