Trathus, Adventuring Mage Neo

This is mini 129905, and due to the low ratings and comments I decided to try and improve it. I coated it in a matte varnish (thanks to swordtrainer) and added some highlight effect flames (my first succesful highlighting!) This is my first miniature and it means alot to me that I do it right. So again, comments are better than votes. Please be considerate and don't vote arbitrarily. Thanks and I truly hope you enjoy this!!! -Ascension

First atempt? get out...! My first would have been a 2 compared to this one. An advice though, don't try to use all the paints that you have, pick one or two primary colors, that will make the overall color scheme, and the some suplamentary colors that will bring refreshing acsents to your mini. Try to nail down drybrushing technique, it's the easyiest way to get a grip on shading and highliting, that's what helped me in the begining. Make sure you dont overload your brush with paint. Keep up the good work!

Wow! I can't tell you how much I appreciate all the comments and help! What a great community. I think vincegamer may be right, I can do more with this but I could do alot more with a fresh target. So my next project is a scratchbuilt mini from greenstuff. (Wtf am I thinking? Second serious attempt scratchbuilt? Well what can I say it looks fun) So I'll give a shout when its done, college may get in the way a little though ;)
