Asurmen The Hand of Asuryan
This mini was painted for the german GD, I was very happy that it won silver in =I= category. Painting a mini at this size ( 100 mm ) was a totally new experience for me. I started painting around Christmas 2005 and worked about 250 hours on the mini including the base. Finished it mid of july. The colour scheme is inspired by the Codex Eldar Cover. I decided to put him into some ruines of a destroyed city to show a certain contrast between his superior, nearly untouched armour and the surrounding, devastated area. This was also my first try on some weathered metallics on the base. You can see some closeups here: 129950 Hope you like it, comments are very welcome. :)
