Gelatinous Cube

The gelatinous cube is a monster made of a clear jelly shaped as a cube. This dungeon dwelling critter sweeps the floor, walls and (if large enough) ceiling of dungon corridors as it travels along them. Occasionally items such as gold and gems and the mysterious shield inside this cube can't be disolved. I saw one of these up on the www and had to make one. This miniature is scratchbuilt with the exception of the shield which was taken from my bits box. To see the build process of this guy go to: http://www.zenzerovich.com/miniatures/gelcube/

Oh so very 'Eye of the Beholder'-like. Nice, brings back memories of long and endless dungeons and dragons games. Nice one !

Looks good! You got a very smooth surface from this casting; I wouldn't have expected it from the clay source. I found that I needed to paint an extra gloss coat on the outside of mine to protected it -- the foam I use in my mini case seemed to interact a little bit with the clear resin. (And it had been done for about a week when this happened...)
