Prosciutto the Giant Pig

His name is Prosciutto, and he was the loyal companion of one Pigwiggen, a beast-riding dwarf in an AD&D game world. The two had a few brief but interesting adventures together before the DM ran out of time to prepare. By special arrangement, Prosciutto wears chainmail barding with special lightweight properties (good, since he's the height of a pony and that much chain would be prohibitive). His 'helm' has a special spike he used as a third attack (two tusks, one spike). Naturally he wears a saddle and saddlebags for use by Pigwiggen. Prosciutto was created from Sculpey--you can see his ears got a little brown in the oven. Since he was previously kept in a dice bag, his ears show battle scars and one tusk is permanently broken. He is a trifle out of scale, I suppose, but we were a little more relaxed about such things than some folks might be. He was crafted with minimal tools--a toothpick, an exacto blade, and my fingers. He was fired once and wears a partial glaze of epoxy glue. He was actually a 'wild boar' in gaming terms, but this just shows my sense of humor. I thought it would be funny to have a ferocious female dwarf riding a giant pig, and even funnier if the pig looked like an ordinary domestic pig. So, voila, a smiling war-pig.

Aaaawww! He's so cute! I like your sense of humour and the sculpt isn't too bad either. I'm sure this little guy will occupy a spot of sentimentality for a long time to come. Sweet!

I think it's a great idea and don't know why there aren't any pink pigs in the Warhammer world to begin with. A fun piece I'm sure and good for a few laughs on the tabletop, thus I rate it tabletop quality - consistent with my scale too, as it has no shading or highlighting but also no paint spillovers.

Actually, Prosciutto is italian cured ham. Cured of what, you can decide. There's no cheese involved, except in regards to my sense of humor. :) Prosciutto didn't really think he was participating in the whole 4.0 thing. He won't be insulted, though, if he's rated that way on his paint job. There is, after all, no paint on him at all. :)
