you are leaving too many detail whitout painting, but is ok keep painting is the key

I would say that you don't have the idea how to paint at the moment. Get some advice from gameshop and probably will look much better than next time.

I think a key part of painting minis is to hold it at a good angle when you paint, it also helps me to have a table lamp on to highlight the recesses and hard to see areas, this mini is a lot better than mine when I first started.
