I have only been painting mini's for about three months or so but I decided to try a new method and this is how it turned out. I like it, im still learning though so give me a break. The base is obviously not finished either, and my camera sucks.

Not bad for an early effort. In addition to the advice Cremisi gave you I would also suggest that you limit the total major colours to 2 or 3, 2 is better. You will use other colours as highlights and contrasts of course, but this figure has a 'rainbow' look because of the amount of large area colours. For example, the blue body and purple face/hands should all be in the same colour, with a lighter but similar colour for the belly. Which would make the contrast with the armour that much better. Keep at it tho. Good start so far.

you look precise :) but I want to give you a piece of advice: try to use inks or very watered colours on the armor.... it will improve a lot! Then post again!
