Nice job on an angry face, and your painting in general is in theme with the mini's sculpt. The leathery skin makes a nice contrast to the scales. The drybrushing on the scales is a little rough, maybe go up in a few more increments to build up the colour? The base is bringing you down a bit here, it would probably look better (and be sturdier) glued to another base and then glue on the gravel to conceal the join in the two bases. Also bases often look more 'in scale' when painted.
