Burning Blade Chariot

Another Mini that I did for my cousin, its one of my first works as well. (not sure if it was done before my orc regiment or not, it was definately based before them since I ened up with an "au naturelle" basing technique) The flames are intended to be something that I think orcs would scrawl on their weapons, as a tribute to their clan and master. This one made extensive use of black ink, hence the chariot came out rather dark. The boars are probably the best part, I think for a first attempt I did an ok job on fur and coloration. The orcs on the chariot are probably somewhat lacking, could definately have used some highlighting on them and not just inking... but well I'm learning as I go... (thankfully its on my cousin's pieces and not my own army :) )

Ok here are some tips that might prove useful. The armor, chesnut ink, really watered down, and that goes for most of the inks most of the time. Then dry bruh, after it dries of course, with two different shades of silver. I might add that will give them a slightly rusted look. The hair bonnets, use a light brown ink, and then dry brush with decreasing layers of red and orange, going all the way to yelow. Oh and if you use red, brown works better than black for the inks or washes. Hope this helps. Nadin
