Dark Elf lord on steed
View #1 I'm amased how few command models there are available for the Dark elves in Warhammer fantacy so I created this guy as a birthday presant for my main opponents army. The steed started life as a metal wood elf unicorn. its legs had to be cut off and modified to attain this reared up position. The Lord or Highborne is made from combining 3 different figurines, malus darkblade, a beastmaster and a high elf dragon prince champion. I painted this guy in darker shades as though he were under darkend sky with the aroura borialis (sp) casting its hue over all . Dark Elves love black steeds so the horse looks fairly black at normal distance until you get close enough to see its natural brown shades coming through from under. To the naked eye its very subtle and also a nice mood to look at. Now I'm going to have to face this guy in battle against my High Elves. Yeah!
