Marble Base
It's just an ordinary base, painted to look like marble. It's my very first attempt at marble and less than a square inch in size, so I think it came out brilliantly. When the figure is upon it (Dark Elf Sorceress from Games Workship), not as much marble shows, but it does lend a little class to the figure. I'll post her separately as soon as I can get a decent shot. This is, by the way, from an olympus C3000 digital camera with a zoom lens. I have two ordinary incandescent scoop lights on clips that I use to get the proper angle of illumination. The background (not visible in these pictures) was a piece of white cotton fabric. Sometimes I use a blue filter to get the yellow out.
