Im a bit of a traditionalist when it comes to the bases, green for fantasy.
As for the green on the blades, these figures have the ability to produce toxic venom from the mouth, which they apply to their blades. I pictured them spitting it onto the blades in the heat of the battle.
These seems scored awfully low. It's painted neatly, with decent shading and good visual separation of elements. The eyes and teeth are nicely detailed, and the rust on the metal studs looks good. There could be a little more darklining in a few spots like the straps of the weapon handle. I'm not clear what's going on with the green on the weapon, and green is not a popular choice for base rims these days, but other than that, I don't see the reason for a 4.6 score.
