Khalida - The Beloved Tomb Queen
This miniature was painted using mostly Vallejo Paints. I coated it a few times with Krylon Matte finish for protection. She was painted in colors found regularly in Egyptian artifacts and with the specific color meanings in mind. Green (Turquoise): New Life Red: Life and victory (also: anger and fire) Blue: Creation (also: rebirth) Yellow (Gold): Eternal (also: indistructable) Black: Death (also: Fertility and resurrection) White: Purity (also: omnipotence) Her scarab was painted in reddish tones resembling semi-precious rock used often in jewelry and it's placement (on or near the heart) signifies that she was loved/honored/worshipped when she died and that her heart (the scarab) shall remain eternal. Though she properly showed the camera her "good" side, the half of her face not covered by the Death Mask (or skin, depending on how the player feels) is painted in reddish browns to resemble the look of mummified skin.
